HEALTH TOOLS
Understand your numbers.
Four simple tools for general health education. Your entries are calculated in your browser and are not saved or sent by these tools.
Before you begin
These tools provide informational estimates, not diagnoses or treatment recommendations. Do not change medicines or delay medical care because of a result. BMI and WHR tools are intended for adults aged 20 or older who are not pregnant. The Framingham tools apply to adults aged 30–74 without established cardiovascular disease.
01 / BODY MASS INDEX
BMI Calculator
BMI relates your weight to your height. Use kilograms and centimetres.
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height (m)². Adult screening categories do not distinguish muscle from body fat, and cardiometabolic risk may occur at lower BMI in South Asian populations.
02 / CARDIOVASCULAR RISK
Cholesterol Risk Calculator
Estimate 10-year general cardiovascular disease risk using cholesterol and other risk factors.
Uses the Framingham 2008 lipid model, including age, sex, systolic blood pressure, blood pressure treatment, smoking and diabetes. It estimates a broad set of cardiovascular outcomes—not the effect of cholesterol alone.
Ages 30–74, without established cardiovascular disease. Developed in a US population; accuracy for an individual in Pakistan is uncertain. Input limits are guardrails, not healthy ranges. Enter cholesterol in mg/dL; if your report uses mmol/L, multiply the cholesterol value by 38.67.
03 / RISK IN PERSPECTIVE
Heart Age Calculator
Compare your risk profile with an age-equivalent reference profile.
Uses the same Framingham 2008 lipid equation. Heart age is the age at which a person of the same sex would have equivalent estimated risk with total cholesterol 180 mg/dL, HDL 45 mg/dL, untreated systolic blood pressure 125 mmHg, no smoking and no diabetes.
This is a risk comparison, not a scan or a measure of your heart’s physical age. Applies to ages 30–74 without existing cardiovascular disease; results beyond those ages are displayed as bounds. The model may under- or overestimate risk in Pakistan.
04 / BODY MEASUREMENTS
Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR) Calculator
Divide waist circumference by hip circumference using the same units.
Use a horizontal tape. Measure your waist midway between the lowest palpable rib and the top of the hip bone after a normal breath out; measure hips at the widest point around the buttocks. This result is a ratio only, without a diagnostic risk label.
Numbers need context.
Discuss your results alongside your symptoms, family history, medicines and existing reports. A consultation can help you understand what the numbers mean for you.
